Rules and Regulations 2018

The Council approved the revisions to ICATT’s Rules and Regulations on December 20, 2016. This was in recognition that ICATT’s existing Rules and Regulations have been in place for 46 years, the Council considered that a greater call globally for quality, changing technology, the ever-increasing sophistication of business today and the absolute need for transparency and accountability in the public interest made the revision of our rules and regulations a must have for any modern institution.

The proposed Rules and Regulations were adopted at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) held at the Normandie Hotel at 10 Nook Avenue, St. Ann’s Port of Spain on February 15, 2017. The Rules will become effective on January 1, 2018.

These Rules of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago are made under Section 4 of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (Incorporation) Act No. 33 of 1970 and shall be read as one with the Act.
